Is it Time to Replenish Your Well?

Current planetary energies and events have, for many, intensified issues and challenges. These powerful energies have made self-care less of an option and more of a necessity. Current challenging times have increased the need for nourishing daily supports. You may find yourself struggling with apathy, anxiety, burn out, feeling down, or negativity. Making self-care a daily priority can go a long way in creating more balance and harmony. This in turn, helps reduce your sense of overwhelm. Adding small moments of self-nourishing activities to your daily routine helps you regain your sense of self and empowerment, allowing you to feel more settled and whole as you move through your day.

I would like to share some of my favorite self-care tips to get you started on beginning to smooth out those rough edges:

  • Connect with the comforting energies of the moon, sun, and stars. Spend a few minutes moon and star gazing or drinking in the sunrise or sunset.
  • Ground yourself by drumming, dancing, walking, or simply getting outside in the fresh air and sunshine for a few moments.
  • Take short self-nourishing time outs to connect with your breath, heart center, and internal intuitive guidance on a regular basis.
  • Strengthen your energetic core through meditation. Turn your focus within on a regular basis with short, guided meditations or by spending a few minutes in calming self-reflection.
  • Connect with your creative self through a hobby or artful playtime.
  • Take a moment to brew yourself a relaxing cup of tea. Put your feet up and breathe for a few minutes.
  • Take a soothing bubble bath or warm shower. Allow the water to rinse away your worries and fears as you release and ground these energies to the core of the Earth.
  • Find a balance between giving and receiving. Are you consistently putting everyone else’s needs ahead of your own? Do you easily give to others but have difficulty receiving?
  • Ask for help. This might be the most important self-care tip I have to offer. Asking for help from family, friends, or professionals when needed is key to self-care and balance. Know when to ask for help instead of trying to tough it out on your own.

So, the next time you are feeling overwhelmed or beyond burned out, it is time to bring in more life balance and harmony through self-care. Remember that adding short moments of self-nurturing activities to your daily routine helps to reduce overwhelm and goes a long way in improving your quality of life.
